SHOP INFORMATION

How do I place an order on your store?
To place an order, you need to register your name and details with the store. The option to register is on the left hand side about half-way down the screen.

I've added everything I want to my cart but how do I complete the purchase?
To complete the order, you can go to the "show cart" option from there choose the "checkout" option and you will be given step-by-step instructions to complete the order.

Why do I have to register in order to buy?
By asking you to register we get all the information needed for the delivery of your order. Also all your account history, past purchases and useful information will be saved on the site. You do not have to enter all your information everytime you order -- it is all there when you log in with your username and password.

How can I search for something?
You can search for somethine on the "Product Search" about half way down the screen on the left. There is also an advanced search option.

What is your privacy policy?
Your details are only used for updating you on the progress of your order. We will not share your info with anyone else. We do send an email newsletter once a month to all registered users. If you do not want to receive it you can unsubscribe at any time by sending us an email.

My activation email never arrived! What can I do?

I've forgotten my password, how can I get it back?
In the login area there is the option "Forgot Password?", which, by clicking on, can send you an email to remind you of your password. If you don't receive the email or have any hassles then please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and we can reset it for you. You can then change it later on.

How can I edit my account details?
To edit your account details, select the "Account Maintenance" option on the left hand side. Here you will also be able to see all your past order details.

How do I choose a ring size?
If you are unsure of your ring size -- please look at the "Find Your Ring Size" option on the top left hand section of the menu. Otherwise email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for assistance.


Do you have everything in stock?
We have most items in stock. You will see how much stock is available when you click on the item. If we have less stock than you need you can email us and we can try and get more for you.

What materials  are your products made from?
We have four main ranges of jewellery.
The "4 Seasons Range" is costume jewellery.
The "Opera Range" consists of genuine cultured freshwater pearl jewellery.
The "925 on Main" range is guaranteed solid sterling silver -- you can take it to any reputable jeweller and they will verify this. We only buy from reputable manufacturers who are registered with the jewellery council of South Africa.
The "Eternal" range is solid stainless steel.

Do you offer any guarantee?
We will gladly replace or refund you for any items purchased provided you contact us within 7 days of receipt. You will then have to return the item to us and you will refund upon receipt of the item. Postage and shipping costs can not be refunded. If you have ordered the wrong size of ring we can replace it but postage costs are the buyers responsibility.


SHIPPING


How soon after payment do you ship?
We ship within 1 working day of confirmed receipt of payment. For the items which are on order, we ship as soon as the stock arrives.


What services do you offer?
You can to send the parcel with the post office as a parcel with a tracking no and private insurance. Currently we do not charge anything for this option.
The second option is to send the parcel with Berco Express Couriers. This is an overnight service to your door and it costs R50.
If you are an overseas buyer it will cost a minimum of R70 to send it as an airmail parcel with a tracking no.

Can I pick up my order from your offices?
You can collect the parcel from us. However, we do not have a store on our property. So you will need to complete the order online and then collect the parcel.

Are the parcels insured?
Yes they are. We self-insure all parcels. If the item is not delivered we will re-send it or refund you.

What is your returns policy?
Any item can be returned if it is returned in the same condtion within 7 days of receipt.

How can I change the shipping address to be different to my billing address?
When you complete your order and proceed to checkout you will presented with the option to change your shipping address to something other than the default. Choose this option and then fill out the address you want the parcel to be sent to.

Do you send parcels overseas?
At the moment we do not have the option on our store to send items to countries outside of South Africa due to problems with postage, loss and damage but if you have a special request you are more than welcome to email us and we'll see what we can do.

PAYMENT


What payment options are avaliable?
You can either pay via EFT, cash deposit or with your credit card. But please note that credit cards transactions are no longer automatically accepted and are subject to approval due to fraud committed against us and the subsequent loss of goods.


Who is your credit card service provider?
We can send you payment requests from your choice of Monster Pay, Payfast or Paypal.

Do you keep any of my personal financial information?
We do not handle your credit card info -- all info is processed on a secure third party credit card site.

What reference do I use for EFT/ Transfer payments?
Please use either your name or your order number as a reference on your payment.

How did the company start?
The Daisy Chain was fonded in 2006 by Angela Webster and husband James. Initailly we sold our range of imported jewellery from home. At the beginning of 2008 we set up a website to enable us to serve a wider customer base. We have been running an online store for nearly 2 years. We were one of top jewellery sellers for about a year on bidorbuy the online auction site and still trade there under the name daisyjewel. We sell fewer items on bidorbuy now as we are trying to develop our own site. The business is still run buy Angela Webster and she is assisted by sister Hannah, husband James and web-site whizz David.


Where are you based?


We are in the little town of Howick -- on the N3, in KZN, 20 minutes North of Pietermaritzburg.
